<strong>Rajiv Gandhi Aviation Academy</strong>, A Division Of Wings Aviation Pvt. Ltd is approved by Director General of civil aviation, Govt. of India, New Delhi to conduct 03 years duration of aircraft maintenance engineering course under the scope of Category ‘G’ which is equivalent to ICAO Type – II standard. It includes 02 ½ years of theoretical & practical ab-inito training followed by 06 months On Job Training in any DGCA approved maintenance organization.

Courses offered:

Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Course is divided into 02 streams.
They are as follows:
  1. Mechanical stream
  2. Avionics Stream

Mechanical stream:

Mechanical stream consists of airframe system, power plant and propulsion system fitted on or related to aircraft. It deals with all aviation mechanical component / item of equipment affecting / not affecting the safety of aircraft. This stream includes the basic knowledge understanding of aircraft materials, hardware, theory of fluid dynamics, aerodynamics, Thermodynamics, Mechanics of flight, Principle of power plant, its propulsion system and any other mechanical system & component fitted or related to aircraft. Mechanical stream comprises of Light Aeroplane (LA), Heavy Aeroplane (HA), Piston Engine (PE) and Jet Engine (JE).

Avionics stream:

Avionics stream consist of electrical system, instrument system and radio navigation system fitted on or related to aircraft. It deals with all aviation electronics component / item of equipment affecting / not affecting the safety of aircraft. The stream includes basic knowledge of understanding electrical engineering, instrument engineering, electronics & communication engineering, and digital techniques fitted and or related to aircraft. Avionics stream comprising of Electrical System (ES), Instrument System (IS) and Radio Navigation System (RA).
